 개역개정 정오에 이르러는 엘리야가 그들을 조롱하여 이르되 큰 소리로 부르라 그는 신인즉 묵상하고 있는지 혹은 그가 잠깐 나갔는지 혹은 그가 길을 행하는지 혹은 그가 잠이 들어서 깨워야 할 것인지 하매
 KJV And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
 NIV At noon Elijah began to taunt them. "Shout louder!" he said. "Surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened."
 공동번역 한낮이 되자 엘리야가 그들을 조롱하여 말하였다. "바알은 신이니까, 더 크게 불러 보아라. 깊은 사색에 빠져 계신지도 모르지. 외출중인지 아니면 여행중인지 혹은 잠이 드셨는지도 모르니 어서 깨워 보아라."
 북한성경 한낮이되자 엘리야가 그들을 조롱하여 말하였다. "바알은 신이니까 더 크게 불러 보아라. 깊은 사색에 바져 계신지도 모르지, 외출중인지 아니면 려행중인지 혹은 잠이 드셨는지도 모르니 어서 깨워보아라."
 Afr1953 En toe dit middag was, het El¡a met hulle gespot en ges?: Roep hard; hy is mos 'n god! Hy is seker in gepeins, of hy het hom seker afgesonder, of hy is seker op reis; miskien slaap hy en moet wakker word.
 BulVeren И около пладне Илия им се присмиваше и казваше: Викайте със силен глас, защото той е бог ? или се е замислил, или е по нуждата си, или е на път, или може би спи и трябва да се събуди!
